I started GladWags to be able to stay home with my little Pekingese Chihuahua mix Scooby Doo. He turned 16 years old this March. Faced with numerous medical conditions. He was diagnosed with Kidney Failure 11 months ago and was given 3 days to live. Since then I have been dedicated to giving him everything he needs to have a quality life . He has defied the odds and everyones expectations of his life expectancy. I was laid off of work 5 months ago. During that time, Scooby has enjoyed a great life but is too fragile to be left for too long. Mounting vet bills were going to force me back into the workplace. I came up with the idea of creating custom canine fashions as a way of staying home with him and being able to ease the financial pinch of caring for him. While juggling online studies to become a Veterinary Technician.
GladWags is a new kid on the block. Just starting in April of this year. Dedicated to producing handmade quality canine clothing and accessories. Combining a love of sewing and creating with a love for animals. Each Bandana or item is custom made from your choices and lovingly sewn. Inspired by my own pets and my creations for them. Others soon noticed and wanted a custom creations for their own pets. Your pet can be the envy of others wearing his/her own custom designed and made bandana. Our signature item is a slip thru the collar bandana. They are durable and made from quality materials. They are easy to care for. They are machine washable and keep their shape best if lightly ironed while damp. You may choose from our colors and patterns or let us know what your special preference is. You may also choose from 40 different stitches to adorn your bandana. And several different thread colors. Holiday bandanas and coats are some of the more popular selling items.
